Marc and Janina Leibowitz met an unwelcome guest in theirwedding ceremony,that is, Tropical Storm Irene. Irene stranded the Brooklyn newlyweds and their poor guests at several inns in Pittsfield, in Vermont.
On last Sunday morning, Storm Irene hit the wedding occasion. Crazy storm destroyed the bride’s dreamy wedding and just few hours ago, she thought her nuptial was unbelievable and the most perfect wedding she could have imagined.
Her husband Leibowitz felt sorry about troubling his guests. Because lots of guests thanked him for getting them out of New York City, the predicted Irene target, but the storm didn’t miss Pittsfield, the tiny town in green mountains.
The couple decided to arrive to other inn where most of the bride’s relatives lived in. Regardless of the owners’ warning, they rushed out with some of their bridesmaids. The route was washed out. Residents and guests had to waiting helicopters to save them. The couple and their guests shoveled mud from homes and got supplies to the elderly as volunteers
To keep spirits up, the couple and guests played charades, and some guests played music at the storm overnight. In the face of Irene, many people freaked out and scared, Marc and Janina Leibowitz were special and warm-hearted to help others in their supposed to happy wedding. To them, Irene was unwelcome but let them remember their big day was so unique than other couples!
